Abstract

Adjectives formed with compositions have more of an interest to be studied in the Albanian language, in the composition of which are the words një (one), dy (two), tre (three), shumë (many) in concurrence with other nouns and with the suffixes –(ë)she-e, -ë(s) -e. In English, these compounds are limited and a part of English pronoun compounds will appear as mainly borrowed, meaning, without the disintegrating word forming elements, like: stellar, angular, radial. Compound constructions in Albanian like yllëzor, këndor, rrezor respond to these formations. Verbal formations in both languages are very limited. The ones that raise an interest are the formations with the English conversion which present difficulty in the finding of the equivalence in Albanian. In most cases they need to be treated in an individual manner by connecting them in the system with the producing theme like shaft and (to) shaft, belt and (to) belt, thread and (to) thread.
